CFED 2022 Conference & Expo! We are excited to welcome you back to the luxurious Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa! Once again CFED is jam-packed with incredible speakers and presentations making it the premier Fire, EMS, Nursing, and Disaster Conference on the west coast. Pre-conference's (May 23) include: Designated Infection Control Officer (DICO) Class Cal Chiefs' Fire Chief Summit Opening Ceremonies will kick off on Tuesday May 24th! This year we have intentionally included several classes pertaining to the mental health of our healthcare providers. On Tuesday, Retired Assistant Fire Chief, Scott Geiselhart will detail his journey of recovery from PTSD, addiction and a suicide attempt. Scott is now a Mental Health Practitioner and specializes in peer support and critical incident stress management training. Additional classes include building resiliency with your personnel, developing a behavioral health program for your agency, and Safe Talk. Safe Talk is a half-day training on suicide alertness. We also have other exciting educational opportunities, including topics on pediatric care, human trafficking, and David Givot, Esq. is back to give us the law side of APOD and body cameras.
